UPDATE (Nov. 16, 12:48 a.m.)—One man was killed and two were seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident in Kingsville Friday morning.
Police identified the person killed as 26-year-old William Strayer Jr. of an unknown address. The two men injured were in stable condition at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center as of 11:40 a.m., according to Cpl. Cathy Batton, Baltimore County police spokeswoman.
Emergency crews responded at 6:07 a.m. to the intersection of Philadelphia Road and Bradshaw Road, where a Chevrolet pickup truck had struck a Mazda Protege head-on, according to Baltimore County police spokesman Cpl. John Wachter.
Investigators believe the truck was traveling west-bound on Philadelphia Road when it crossed the center line and struck the Mazda Protege that was traveling east-bound on Philadelphia Road from Pfeffers Road, Wachter stated in a release.
A man who was a passenger in the Mazda Protege was taken to Franklin Square Medical Center and pronounced dead. The man driving the Mazda Protege and the man driving the Chevrolet pickup truck were both taken by medevac to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, he stated.
Philadelphia Road, between Pfeffers Road and Bradshaw Road, closed in both directions Friday morning after the accident, and reopened before 10 a.m.
In January, an 84-year-old woman was killed in an accident less than two miles away along Philadelphia Road.
Nearby resident Heidi Wallace said accidents are frequent along that stretch of Philadelphia Road, mainly because of speeding.
"Kids fly down this road. You're just waiting to hear a crash," she said. "Right after we moved in 10 years ago, a couple of kids smashed an SUV. You couldn't even tell it was an SUV afterward. And we just had a boy on a bicycle hit right in front of our driveway."
Her daughter Allie Wallace suggested that more police patrolling Philadelphia Road may reduce speeding.
"I never see police shoot radar around here. We need it, especially at night," she said.

That has always been a tricky intersection. I'm surprised there aren't flashing lights there or a signal. Believe me, I'm not all for more lights, but I don't mind them where lives and public safety are concerned. I also realize you can't put a light up every time there is a fatality either.

I am friends with the father of one of the victims. His son, one of the victims that were flown to Shock Trauma, has passed away.

I'm sorry for my mistake. It appears that we were misinformed. This was not the only serious motor vehicle crash overnight. The person I know was in an accident much earlier. My apologies to anyone that was confused by my statement.

Not sure if we are able to post names of victims but I went to school with the young man that was killed. Baltimore Sun says he was the driver of the pickup truck, but I am unable to confirm which vehicle he was actually in.

Driver of the pickup was the one that caused the accident. He is alive. The passenger of the other car was killed, not sure about that drivers condition.

The driver fell asleep at the wheel. No deer involved. Last I heard he was getting ready to go into surgery, but he was alive and alert.

The last address given for Strayer is 8924 Philadelphia Rd, when he was stopped on Nov 14 6:41 am on 924 for driving without a license. I suppose that's why he was a passenger this time. Really ironic and sad.

Brian was driving on an EXPIRED license. There is a BIG difference between driving WITHOUT a license and driving on an EXPIRED license. What's ironic and sad is that the person responsible for this horrible accident has multiple driving related offenses, not to mention other much more serious offenses and yet he was still behind the wheel of a vehicle.

We just built a house 4yrs ago right on Rt7 and it is insane! People drive so fast around the turns - especially crotch rockets! My biggest fear is my 3yr old and puppy getting out and getting hit by someone not looking. I would love to have a speed trap in my front yard! I also think the bridge over the Gunpowder needs to be widened! People go over the lines there all of the time!

Right infront of my house we called 911, its crazy im 18 only lived on this road for a few months and I've already seen four accidents driving home. Had someone pass me the other night on a double solid yellow line because the speed limit wasn't fast enough! Its crazy

I found it looking to see if the media screwed up as usual. Seems the story is correct but the people who just sit around researching victims and giving out their details are pretty bored. It's Friday night leave your moms basement.

Would everyone stop arguing about Lil Brian. FIFA, if you had any type of heart, you would say a pray instead of putting nasty comments on here. You never knew him or anything about him. Lil Brian was such a loving and caring person. That would light up the room with his smile and laughter.
So, as negative people posting negative comments, KARMA is a bitch. Just think, eveyone has family and friends
also, how would you feel if this was your love one?
Lil Brian, I am gonna miss you friend. My heart goes out to your wife and family. I can say, it was my pleasure to had known you my friend.
Xoxoxo, love you Apple
