1ST ANNIVERSARY: 10 Ways To Use Perry Hall Patch
One year since launch, Patch is here to help you interact with the community.
Perry Hall Patch turns 1 year old today!
From elections to traffic accidents to high school football, Patch has this community covered. But on the site's first anniversary, I wanted to remind you why this site exists and what it's all about.
Simply put, it's about you.
Try one of these quick and easy tips to better use Patch to benefit yourself and the community:
1. Comment on an Article
We believe news is a conversation. Share your thoughts and reactions to articles by posting a comment directly below each story.
2. Ask a Question
Patch's Q&A section is the place for you to ask your questions and show off your expertise. Visit http://perryhall.patch.com/questions to ask a question or answer someone else's.
3. Post an Event
Is there a garage sale or community fundraiser coming up? If it's not on our Patch calendar, it should be. Feel free to add events to our site at http://perryhall.patch.com/events/new.
4. Send a News Tip
At the bottom of the homepage is a link that says, "Send Us News Tips." Tell us about stories we should cover. Your tip will be sent straight to me, Perry Hall Patch's (incredibly grateful) editor.
5. Post an Announcement
Post births, engagements, wedding announcements and more. Just remember, our Terms of Service say announcements should be for personal use and not for advertising.
6. Sign Up for Newsletters
The daily Perry Hall Patch newsletter brings you all articles and announcements that have been posted in the last 24 hours. Look for the Follow Us and Newsletter links in the right column of this and nearly every page.
7. Claim Your Directory Listing
Our team of researchers actually hit the streets and visited businesses, schools, parks, libraries and more to provide photos and detailed information for our directory. Email us at directorysupport@patch.com with questions about your business listing. If you own or manage a business or organization in our directory, claim it at http://perryhall.patch.com/search/listings.
8. Upload Your Photos and Video
Post photos from events and daily life in Perry Hall. We invite you to share your images with the community whenever possible.
9. Social Media Engagement
Like us on Facebook (we're incredibly close to reaching 2,000 fans) and follow us on Twitter. Immerse yourself in our content and actively contribute and engage using social media.
10. Send a Letter to the Editor
Every member of the Perry Hall community is invited to submit a letter to the editor. Express your thoughts or concerns about anything and we'll consider posting it. Make sure it's not longer than 300 words and email it to me at emilyk@patch.com.
The more Perry Hall Patch serves as an online space for community dialogue, the more useful it will be. Don't let this incredible community resource go to waste!
