After Break-in, Chinese Restaurant Owner Taking Security Precautions
Last week's theft was the first in 10 years.
For 10 years, Bill Ni has operated the China Garden restaurant at the Silver Spring Shopping Center along the 8600 block of Belair Road in Perry Hall. But last week, he said, was the first time he worried about security.
On the morning of Oct. 8, a worker discovered that the restaurant's front glass door had been broken with a rock and someone had stolen $200 from a register, according to a police report.
"This has never happened before, nothing like this," Ni said. "I thought it was very safe and secure."
Now, he said, he plans to contact a security company and install a camera.
"It makes you think about more serious stuff," Ni said. "Maybe it will go away, but I have a feeling it might not."

Belair Road is becoming a habitat for criminals. Mr. Ni did not deserve to be violated like that. The money has probably been spent on some crackhead's habit by now. What Mr. Ni will need to spend to secure his store will be passed on to his customers. Let's stop letting such criminals back out again to repeat their deeds. Everybody, keep you eyes open when in the Belair Road Crime Corridor.

Ni and his wife Thersa are the nicest people! They work very hard and have a wonderful family. I can't believe anyone would do this to them. Freakin punks in Perry Hall can't find anything better to do than cause the crime rate to go up in our community.

this past July I got up a little earlier for a criminal,,,,,,,,,,, I caught him i my storage room. he was alrady on probation for theft,,,,,,,,,,,he got 90 days,he has a drug addiction I am told, The police told me his vehicle withthe out of state tag matched descriptions of other burglaries in Perry Hall. we have tro be vigilant in wacthing out for each other, They like to strike while we are all sleeping,this one wasnt expecting me to walk out to my bak yard on him,it turned out he was a neighbor , (who I never knew of)
