Not to be a Buzz Killington, it's probably cheaper to go to this than to go to an amusement park such as Six Flags or Hershey. Depending on how old your child is, 3-8 it's $36 for Hershey, 9 and up is $57. Six Flags has similar prices. Plus you have to factor in the cost of gas to drive to both. You might be able to get discounts, but I would still say the Circus would be cheaper. Granted, you might have more fun at an amusement park because its more interactive.

Except the amusement parks won't be terrible. Also, 2 day passes honestly bring the cost close to this, if you go that route. It's what we typically do (with Dutch Wonderland)

Speaking of that, Dutch Wonderland is great for the under 8 group.

@Tim - most people don't go for the 2 day pass, and if you get a 2 day pass at a place that is a few hours away, you might as well factor in the cost of a hotel as well. Not to mention the cost of food and drinks. Granted, Dutch Wonderland, Hersheypark, and Six Flags are all only about an hour away and going back and forth isn't too bad but everyone has different tastes.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm in no way saying that she should go to the Circus because its cheaper, I just meant that you shouldn't always use the cost of something as a reason to do it or not. It costs a lot of money to go to Walt Disney World, does that mean I should go to Six Flags or Hershey instead? It's all in what you value.

telecomguy: Well sure, it ultimately depends on the trek time, but you essentially just made my argument for me as the distances of travel for the "local" amusement parks are well within driving distance.

I do find it odd that folks wouldn't more regularly do two day passes though. Not questioning your statement's validity. Just seems unusual that you wouldn't want to go a second day over the long season for effectively half price. Some parks do things around the holidays as well, so you aren't limited to just "the summer".

I love going to any circus, but $32 is ridiculous. Many enjoyable outings could be done cheaper than taking 2 adults and 1 child to this circus.
