Columbus Day Closures Around Perry Hall

Baltimore County government is taking the day off in honor of Christopher Columbus.

What's closed this Monday for Columbus Day?

  • Baltimore County offices will be closed.
  • Courts, the health department, senior centers and libraries will be closed and CountyRide will not operate.
  • Post offices are closed and there will be no mail pickup or delivery.
  • Banks are generally closed.

Landfill and drop-off centers will be open and trash and recycling collection will function as usual.

But remember, it's still a normal school day for Baltimore County students.

And why is this a holiday? Would rather have the day after Super Bowl or March 18th off...who do I talk to about this?

It's a holiday because it's a Monday. Plain and simple. Also, don't forget, most people had to work yesterday. Just government, banks and post offices get the day off...no surprises there.
