It's no small task moving nearly 2,300 adults and teenagers off and then back onto Perry Hall High School property. But assistant principal Stephen Arnold said administrators and police helped complete the process in about a half-hour.
Between 8:43 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. Thursday, the high school conducted a 500-foot evacuation drill to prepare for a dangerous situation. Police closed a portion of Ebenezer Road during the event.
Baltimore County requires 500-foot evacuation drills twice a year, while other drills, including lock-downs and fire drills, are held nearly every month, he said.
