GET OUT: Johnny Appleseed Festival, Half Way to St. Paddy's Day Party, Live Music

Weekend fun awaits in and around Perry Hall.

 

1. Party on the Plaza

 2. Johnny Appleseed Festival

  • Where/When: Webers Farm, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
  • Why Go: General Admission ticket required includes one hayride, straw maze, mini-straw maze, the Boo Barn, Hillside Slide, duck races and more. Live bluegrass, including the Satyr Hill Band, will play from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Price: Free

3. The Music Man 

  • Where/When: CCBC Essex Campus, starting Saturday at 1 p.m. and running through October 2
  • Why Go: The Children's Playhouse of Maryland will perform the classic "The Music Man." Performances are held in the J Building Lecture Hall.
  • Price: All seats $10

4. Movies in the Park: Toy Story 3

  • Where/When: Honeygo Run Regional Park, 8:15 p.m. Saturday 8:15
  • Why Go: Bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair and drinks and watch the movie on the big screen. Free popcorn will be offered. This week features Disney's Toy Story 3. Pre-show fun starts at 7:40 p.m., including face painting, balloon sculptors, games, giveaways and more. Each night, a winner and up to six friends will be given VIP seating with catered snacks.
  • Price: Free

5. Live Music: Black Falls

  • Where/When: The Gunpowder Lodge, 9 p.m. Saturday
  • Why Go: Enjoy the eclectic blend of rock and blues performed by Black Falls. Stop by earlier to hear John Kallok Acoustic 4-8 p.m.
  • Price: Free

6. Half Way to St Paddy's Day Party

  • Where/When: The Harp, Saturday all day
  • Why Go: Why celebrate St. Patrick's Day only once a year. Come celebrate half way to St. Paddy's day at The Harp. There will be food and drink specials all day. Irish dancers will perform at 6 p.m. and DJ Flyin Brian is on at 10 p.m. There will be prizes and giveaways.
  • Price: Free

Movies in the Park is on for this week according to their Facebook page. It was cancelled last week because of the rain. The event listing has been changed. Sorry for any confusion.
