Where/When: The Avenue at White Marsh, Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Why Go: The Avenue at White Marsh will officially begin its annual concert series. Kicking it off on Friday is The Crawdaddies, followed by Higher Hands on Saturday. Performances on the plaza will be every Friday and Saturday through Sept. 24.

2. Imaginative Cinema Society Movie Night
Where/When: Perry Hall Presbyterian Church, Saturday, 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Why Go: Imaginative Cinema Society welcomes fans of fantasy, science fiction, mystery and horror films. Members are asked to bring movies and after the viewing there is a discussion and critique session. This week, the club will be viewing "Tarzan."
Pricing: Annual dues to join the club are $25 per person, $40 per couple and $15 for each added primary membership (prorated)
3. Marshy Point Boat & Canoe Trips
Where/When: Marshy Point Nature Center, the boat trip is Saturday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and the canoe trip is Sunday, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Why Go: On Saturday, take a leisurely boat ride exploring the creeks and looking for wildlife. On Sunday, take a canoe ride around the Dundee Creek and look for wildlife and waterfowl.
Pricing: $5 for members, $7 for non-members
Where/When: Gunpowder Lodge, Saturday, 9 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy this Beatles tribute band as they perform the songs you know and love. "You'll think the Beatles are at GPL."

5. 12th Annual Wine & Herb Fest
Where/When: Boordy Vineyard, Saturday and Sunday, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Why Go: There will be wine tasting, vineyard wagon rides, spring herbs, grilled foods and salads by Carl's Catering, handcrafted cheeses, winery tours, crafts, and a living history encampment. Enjoy music by Captain Quint, a Jimmy Buffet tribute band.
Pricing: $15 for adults, $10 for teens (13-20) and $5 for children (2-12)
