Greene Turtle Among Planned White Marsh Mall Restaurants

Four new restaurants are expected to open at White Marsh Mall between spring and fall of 2012.

Does shopping make you hungry?

If so, prepare for a few more options. Four new restaurants are coming to between spring and fall 2012, including The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille, mall officials announced Tuesday.

Greene Turtle, an East Coast chain sports bar, offering burgers, wings and sliders, is expected to open in fall 2012. It will take the place of Ruby Tuesday in a 5,776-square-foot space opposite Red Robin. The former restaurant's lease has expired.

Buca di Beppo, a nationwide Italian chain restaurant, is expected to open in spring 2012. It will take a 6,944-square-foot space left vacant by the former Lin's China Buffet.

Charley’s Grilled Subs, a national and international franchise specializing in cheesesteaks, is expected to open in spring 2012 in a 429-square-foot space in the mall's food court. It will take the place of former temporary tenant Churro's.

Yolavie, an East Coast self-serve frozen yogurt shop chain, is also expected to open in spring 2012 in a 972-square-foot space on the mall's upper level in the Sears wing. It will take the place of a former Cinnabon.

"White Marsh Mall is excited to welcome these new restaurants, and with their arrival, mall patrons will experience the local flair of The Greene Turtle and the national appeal of brand name dining establishments like Buca di Beppo," Jessie Benson, mall associate marketing manager, said in a press release.

"We have an extensive collection of merchants, plenty of family-friendly entertainment and a great mix of dining options. There are plenty of choices for consumers at White Marsh Mall, and that experience is attractive to local and national retailers," Benson said.

Which of these restaurants are you most likely to eat at? What restaurants would you like to come to the area? Tell us in the comments.

Yeah, on a side note, Taquieros (new) is really good. A little greasier then I normally go for, but really tasty! Good product/ingredient quality.

I second the addition of R&R Taqueria. Tastes exactly the same as the one in Elkridge - authentic, cheap, and delicious!

I hope the Green turtle don't follow the rest of the business and hire "illegal new americans".. they'll be thumbs down like the rest of the business's on 43 who are folding. We remember and will not support any business that caters to illegal contractors instead of our citizens.. Cheap labor sometimes means cheap performance..

I'm saddened that Cinnabon is leaving? Or are they out of business?

Victorie, I loved Cinnabon also.. Not sure what your location your talking about but i do know a couple cinnabons have locked their doors lately. Md is the 4th highest taxed state in the country and through the years we've lost too many of our business's.. here lately more then 3000..

Actually, I read this article and took an entirely different meaning from it.

I saw all of these new restaurants as serious upgrades to the mall. Cinnabon? I never touched the place. Why exactly would I want to throw down a 1000 calorie ball of greasy fat again?
In the case of Ruby Tuesday, the place was awful. If it went out of business, it's because it's mediocre food on a good day.

I have to agree about Ruby Tuesday. It used to be one of my favorite places. But the place got dirtier and dirtier, the service went downhill, and the salad bar was only a mere shadow of its former self. The selection on the salad bar went from big to miniscule.

The salad bar was the big draw for me... went it became nothing more than lettuce, I finally gave up on it.

The Belair location was better, but it too, took a horrible turn for the worst.
