Help Me Find the Best Crab Cake in Perry Hall

From Pizza to Crab Cakes let's find the best in Perry Hall.

A few weeks ago I asked for your help. Being a pizza fanatic married to a unadventurous eater, your suggestions for the best Perry Hall Pizza were amazing! Since then, I did get a chance to try DeSantis', which was fabulous! We also tried Vocelli's and, of course, I've had Deniro's. I found DeSantis' to be especially tasty and I loved reading everyone's opinions.

This week, I'm on a new hunt, one that my husband is a bit more invested in. He's a crab cake fanatic. As much as I love pizza, he loves crab cakes. They can be served straight up, on a bun or even stuffed in something, it doesn't really matter as long as it's a "good" crab cake.

I hate to admit it, but growing up in Northeastern Pennsylvania, a crab cake was a bread-filled ball of glop, deep fried. I never knew what a crab cake could be until I moved to the great state of Maryland.

We already frequent a couple of places that have—what we consider—good crab cakes, but I wonder if our opinions match those who grew up with the amazing taste of Old Bay and sweet succulent chunks of crab meat.

In the city, we got hooked on Kocos Pub and locally, we order cakes from Casa Mia's. Like the hunt for the best Perry Hall Pizza, I can't help but feel that I'm missing out on some hidden Perry Hall gem.

Who has the best crab cake in Perry Hall?

The search for best Perry Hall pizza and now best crab cake , I find most interesting.
I just don't know. My work has me in many different countries around the world.
The very best pizza I have ever eaten is served in Santa Monica Cali Colombia South America at Karen's Pizzaera. The second best pizza is found at Lowiges in Washington D.C. across the street from the United States Passport building. The Best Crab Cake,
You may never believe this, but it's true. Ride 1.5 to 2 hours out of Baltimore up route 70 to Berkley Springs West Verginia. It's a very small town with its main attraction being hot springs bathing. There is a hotel/restaurant in the center of town. You can't miss it,...it's the only hotel in the town and the only restaurant that has a menu. There I ordered their crab cake,. just out of pure curiosity. Crab Cake & side dishes all for less tahn $10.00 ! This I just had to see. Well sure enough ,...not one , but two big crab cakes appeared ! Crab Cakes,.. each as big as a Burger King Whopper.
My first thoughts ,..They can't be any good, it can't be real crab meat ,..right ? WRONG !
They were the best crab cakes that I have ever had,...I was speachless,.....I couldn't believe this.
I went back there,..three or four more times before leaving the U.S.A. with friends . Not for the hot sprngs bath , but for the crab cakes ! If and when I ever return to the U.S.A. Berkley Springs West Virginia will be a first stop.

Will keep in mind for sure! However, since this is a site devoted to Perry Hall, I'm on Perry Hall hunts. I like knowing what we have here, locally.

the last time I had Silver Spring crab cakes, they were not fresh with a weird odor. I stick to their sour beef & dumplings now.

Rose must have been there on a bad day. I have been there several times in the last year and the crab cake is outstanding! I go for lunch and this is part of the special. I highly recommend this.

Try the crab cakes at Tuscano's! YUM!! Their cream of crab soup is good too. They are located on Harford Rd near North Wind.

I know this article is about crab cakes, but Toscano has the best frozen take out meals like lasagna and eggplant parmesan. Usually for less than $10 . Great for 2 people if you are big eater, otherwise you will have leftovers.

Casa Mia's has the very best in Perry Hall. The owner is a relative of the original owner of Red Fox in Belair. Same family, same recipe. Taste the same all the time..

I agree that Casa Mia's and Bill's Seafood have outstanding crabcakes. Also, although not in Perry Hall, the Bowman has great crabcakes, too.

My favorite in Perry Hall is Liberatore's. I think they make an excellent crab cake.

But if you're willing to venture just outside of Perry Hall, the Williamsburg Inn on Rt 40 (just north of Ebenezer), has a phenomenal, all lump, crab cake. What's more, on weekdays they do an early bird special, soup, choice of several entrees (crab cake included) and dessert, all for like $15 it's a deal (have to be seated and ordered by 6pm).

Toscana's used to be Cannella's. Sorry for the mistype (Tuscano). It has a mural on the side of the building.

Breezy Point on Philadelphia Road in Rosedale has the best fresh and broiled crab cakes...backfin or jumbo lump. Technically not Perry Hall but close enough if you really want the best.

Buy it uncooked from Casa Mias. Make four crab cakes on aluminum foil in your oven at about 325 for 15 minutes, then broil for 3 or 4 minutes. If you like shrimp, get jumbo shrimp and butterfly and put crab meat on top for about same time. Yum Yum.
