In the midst of holiday shopping, I'm quickly running out of ideas.

With kids, parents and friends on my list, I'm trying my best to find gifts to fit every age group, sex, hobby and interest. Gift hunting is exhausting, but at least they have one thing in common—they all love candy!

My mom is a chocolate-covered cherry fanatic. My husband can't get enough malt balls. My in-laws love nonpareils. My father has easily eaten his weight in licorice. And my son is gaga for gummies. 

Plenty of stores in Perry Hall sell gift-quality candy, from the Hallmark store on Ebenezer Road to the Cake & Wedding Cottage on Belair Road, and even the Perry Hall Florist on Joppa Road. Local grocery stores and drug stores likewise offer their fair share of suitable sweets.

But nothing compares to the feel of an old-fashioned candy store, a local one-stop shop for all of my family's favorites. If you haven't had a chance to stop by Sweet Fixation at the Honeygo Center Drive Shopping Center, you're missing out on some delicious holiday gift ideas.  

The staff couldn't get any friendlier, they make custom chocolates and offer fun, unique, collectable gifts that you can't get anywhere else. Sweet Fixation is our favorite local sweets shop, as well as my secret holiday weapon.
