June 10: Perry Hall Bill Bateman's Grand Opening
The restaurant received county approval for its liquor license Monday afternoon.
You can almost smell the Buffalo wings.
Perry Hall's new Bill Bateman's Bistro will hold its grand opening June 10, General Manager Katie Zeller said.
Baltimore County officials approved the restaurant's liquor license during a public hearing Monday afternoon in Towson.
Located at 9629 Belair Road, it will replace the former Damon's Grill.
While keeping the building's basic shell, contractors have gutted and renovated the interior. Bateman's will offer an enlarged bar area, more than 20 televisions and a private room, which can hold 30-35 people.
Co-owner Tom Strawser said he hopes the restaurant will bolster Perry Hall's social scene. "A lot of people in their 20s and 30s around here don't want to drive down to the city for nightlife," Strawser said.
However, the restaurant will maintain a family-friendly atmosphere, Strawser added.
"Just look at the menu. It has anything you want—steaks, burgers, wings," he said. "People are getting excited about it."

Bateman's will be a good addition to the Perry Hall Area. Between Bateman's & Surf City, the nightlife will be even better now.
