Kingsville Man Charged in Baltimore, Harford Burglaries

A Kingsville man was arrested Wednesday in Middle River after police said he committed a series of crimes between Harford and Baltimore counties.

UPDATE (11:56 a.m.)—A Kingsville man was arrested this week in connection with a series of burglaries in Harford and Baltimore County.

Joel Lee Knauer, 35, of the 7000 block of Mount Vista Road in Kingsville, was arrested Wednesday and charged with three counts of first-degree burglary, six counts of lesser burglary charges and five related charges.

Knauer allegedly broke into several homes in Harford and Baltimore counties and "stole copious amounts of money and jewelry," according to a release from Maryland State Police with the Bel Air Barrack.

When troopers tried to take Knauer into custody Wednesday at a Middle River residence, he allegedly tried to run from police, the release states.

Police recovered about 200 pieces of property during the investigation and returned those items to their respective rightful owners.

The investigation was a joint effort between detectives with the Bel Air barrack and Baltimore County Police Department.

As of Thursday, Knauer had only been formally charged with one burglary in Baltimore County. Police say he is responsible for breaking into a home on Sept. 25, in the 13400 block of Bottom Road in Hydes, according to Cpl. Cathy Batton, a police spokeswoman.

This $#it ball has a lengthy history of burglary and theft according to the Maryland Judiciary Case Search website. When will the justice system wake up and realize that this anus needs to stay in jail. They release him and the cycle starts all over again.

Drive by that house every day. Matching the last name with SDAT records that is real close to the intersection of Holt and Mt. Vista. Wow. We've had our share of car break-ins in that area as well.

This is bizarre. The court records also show an arrest on Oct 11 for burglary and now this. He had a long string of crimes from 1995 (when he was 18) to 2002, and then they stopped. Must have been locked away. Sure hope he goes away for a long time on this case. But I'll bet not.

Nah, they'll let him go so they have room for more non violent drug offenders. About 3/4th's of the prison population consists of them anyway, gotta keep that going.

It's not bizarre, it's just more proof that the "justice" system is a joke. People seem to come out of prison worse than when they went in. The system is corrupt and flawed and everyone sees it in cases like this, but when it comes to traffic enforcement, no one sees it. Yeah, I know I bring it up a lot, but I'm reminded of it every time I drive.

People do hard crimes all the time and get let off the hook in this country. We come down hard on the wrong people and wonder why our country is going down the toilet with each passing day.
