Man Charged in White Marsh Chick-fil-A Line Robbery
Police arrested a man they say robbed a customer at White Marsh Mall on Saturday.
Police have arrested a man accused of robbing a Chick-fil-A customer at knifepoint in White Marsh on Saturday.
Shane Victor Morrell Jr., 19, of the 1900 block of Belair Road in Baltimore, was charged with armed robbery, second-degree assault and theft, according to Lt. Ron Brooks of the White Marsh police precinct.
At about 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 27, inside the Chick-fil-A restaurant at White Marsh Mall in the 8200 block of Perry Hall Boulevard, police believe Morrell asked another man for change while waiting in line. As the man took out his wallet to offer change, Morrell allegedly held a knife to the man's side and demanded cash. Morrell then stole $20 and ran away, according to Brooks.
The victim alerted mall security and police and Morrell was arrested within less than 10 minutes, Brooks said.
No further information on Morrell's bail status was available as of Tuesday afternoon.

I've said it many times before, and I'll say it again, I no longer go to White Marsh Mall or The Avenue. It's just not safe, and it's getting worse.

What a loser! He should receive jail for the robbery and for stupidity! Doesn't he know this mall is crawling with security and police. Glad he was caught.

being stupid isn't a crime, and no one should be jailed for stupidity.

Nope. Not dangerous one bit. Once you see beyond the possibility of being mugged in the line at Chic-filet.
