Man Seriously Injured in Philadelphia Road Accident

A man driving a Honda Civic received life-threatening injuries after 2:30 p.m. Thursday, police said.

 

A man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident on Thursday afternoon.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 9, police, fire and emergency crews responded to the 11000 block of Philadelphia Road, near Joppa Road, between Perry Hall and White Marsh. A man was trapped inside of a Honda Civic, which had flipped into a ditch on the southbound side, according to Baltimore County police.

The man was removed from the vehicle by fire crews and flown to Maryland Shock Trauma by medevac. His injuries were listed as life-threatening, police said.

Another vehicle, traveling northbound, had been disabled by some debris that came off of the Honda Civic, investigators found. Otherwise, no other vehicles were believed to have been involved in the initial accident, police said. 

No further information on the victim has been released and the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
