Good news but how could she put her family through this? What a shame she had to do this to them.

Teens don't run away for selfish reasons. Something isn't right with her and or her family. Especially if she did not contact them.

"How could she put her family through this?" one commenter asked. How could she put the Police through this?" is a better question. The amount of taxpayer money and police resources used to find a teenager that ran away from some dysfunctional home situation must have been in the tens of thousands. I hope that the family fix whatever problems caused her to run away and are able to keep her this time.

The article just says she was found alive and well. It does not say whether she was held against her will. I am just glad she was found ALIVE.

I,too, am glad she is alive and pronounced well. Most situations are not so dire they cannot subsequently be worked out- if the missing person is found ALIVE. My prayers for healing for everyone involved.

More facts are needed. Was she kidnapped, runaway, abused, spoiled rotten, or just goofy? If it was due to no good cause then she should be made to pay some restitution to the county for the search efforts. Taxpayers shouldn't have to foot the bill if she just volutarily left without cause.

Thank God she was found alive. My prayers are with her and her family.

I am also glad she was found safe. Who knows what goes on in the mind of a 16 year old girl? We should not be rushing to judgement as to why. Hopefully, the family will heal. How many of us just cringe to think about what we did as adolescents?

Who knows what the exact situation is with this girl. If it's family related and she just tried to run away from it all, that's unfortunate and hopefully they can begin to work am towards a resolution. If she was taken against her will and was found safe that is quite remarkable and the family should be very grateful.
One thing is for sure, she is very lucky to be home now and well. As you can see this could have turned out very differently because there was that hand and later body found of the young man found dead in Reisterstown. Same area she was from and both were reported missing within days of each other.

I know this family well and for many years, they are a wonderful loving family, they do not spoil her, and noone knows if she was held against her will. Please stop all the hate, with cost to tax payers, cost to police. I'm sure if this was anyone's daughter or grand child or family member they would be just as fearful and concerned. Alive and well does not mean she intented to run away or be held against her will, or that no harm came to her. People need to just be thankful a missing child is found and not spew hate. This family's prayers have been answered, she is alive. It is not always the case for many unlucky families.
