Walmart to Become Supercenter, But Not Before Black Friday
The manager of the White Marsh Boulevard store says conversion into a Walmart Supercenter will likely be completed in spring of 2012.
Don't expect construction on the Nottingham Walmart to be completed by Black Friday. The store's conversion into a Walmart Supercenter is expected to be finished between April and June of 2012, store manager Micaiah Wallace said.
But as shoppers flood the store's parking lot along White Marsh Boulevard on Thanksgiving night, contractors and equipment won't be getting in the way of deals. Construction will be put on hold during the heaviest shopping hours, Wallace said.
This year's Black Friday sale includes a 40-inch Emerson flatscreen television and an HP laptop, each for $248. The manager said he expects between 5,000 and 10,000 shoppers at his store on Nov. 25.
Upon completion, the renovated store is expected to feature a produce section, meat department and deli, similar to the Walmart Supercenter in Cockeysville, he said.

Bill, I sincerely hope that your comment was meant to be sarcastic. If not, all I can say is "wow."
