Patio Furniture Plundered from Kingsville Yard
The furniture was taken from a vacant Mt. Vista Road property.
A burglar helped himself to an outdoor patio furniture set in Kingsville last week, police said.
At about 6:55 a.m. May 18, a man entered the backyard of a vacant home in the 6900 block of Mt. Vista Road and stole between six and eight pieces of wrought iron lawn furniture, according to a police report.
A witness described the burglar as a white male with spiky blond hair, wearing a white V-neck shirt and jeans, and driving a white pick-up truck, according to Officer Mark Dorsey of the Parkville precinct.
The owner of the vacant property said it was taken without permission, Dorsey said.

The sad thing is HOME OWNERS work so hard for what they have ! If you file an insurance claim you have to pay a deductible. Which most of the time it doesn't cover the cost to replace the stolen goods.. If he is driving a truck then he should be looking for a real job.

NOw we are going to have to chain/lock anything in the back yard.....this is getting out of hand....there has to be something that can be done!

I wonder if the New Metal Task Force created by BC Police will find the patio furniture? Sounds like the dude stole the furniture for the metal.

Reminds me of the time when I was a kid, and a bunch of friends and I had the bright idea of going out during the night and rearranging some of the neighbors' porch furniture. We didn't steal anything...we took chairs, small tables, decor from one person's porch, and put them on another a couple of doors down, vice versa. We hit several houses. (What can I say? Kids were and will be kids.)
