Perry Hall China Garden Struck Again by Burglary

A glass door to the Chinese restaurant was broken and cash was stolen between May 23 and May 24.

Police said they are investigating a business burglary at China Garden in the 8600 Belair Road that occurred between 10 p.m. on May 23 and 7 a.m. on May 24.

According to a police report, a glass door was broken to the Perry Hall Chinese restaurant and cash was stolen from the register.

The incident was similar to three Perry Hall business burglaries reported on May 7, where glass doors were broken and cash was stolen from Domino's, Dry Clean 4 Less and DeNiro's—each along Belair Road. White Marsh police precinct commanders said the China Garden incident may be related, but the investigation is ongoing.

China Garden was first struck by burglars in October 2011. The restaurant's glass door was broken and cash was stolen, according to a police report. At the time, restaurant management said they planned to increase security.

Restaurant management were not immediately available for comment on the most recent incident.

OK, so as I understand it, Bel Air Rd is the bored between two police precincts: White Marsh and Parkville.

How is it then, that Bel Air stores are getting abused - repeatedly?

There should be loads of coverage, combined, accessible to the area. In fact, some nights (according to the WM Capt. Balog) they actually share the same channel.

I have one possible solution. BTW, don't read this if you hate guns !!
The store owners need to hire a private security firm and have 24 hr. "ARMED"
guards on the premises.

There is a bank in the Parkville Shopping Center that has an "ARMED" guard outside 24/7. Do you think that bank will get held up or do you think the robbers will go somewhere else ??????

It's sad that it has to come to this but, if our "LEADERS" in Washington would do their jobs, things would be a little different.

I love that in this stock photo of China Garden there is a vehicle parked in the fire lane. Another rampant offense in Perry Hall.

Don't you know? That doesn't mean them. Only suckers actually obey the law, because you never see anyone actually get ticketed or towed for doing this.

I think it's a new revenue stream for the county just waiting to be exploited.

75 dollar fine. I don't care if a person is in the car, and the car is idling. These self righteous idiots do nothing more but cause un-needed congestion and put pedestrians at risk by inhibiting the view of actual drivers navigating the area.

It's also no conincidence that most people I see in these cars are fat.
Get out and walk, lazy people. It's not hard.
The only exception I'd gladly make is for handicapped people - if the spots are used then hey, I'm not going to put them out unfairly.

Then again, I'd go look and see if the handicapped spots actually have handicapped people using them. Another d-bag move from people.

Tim, to add to your point, burglars love when people do this - it blocks a person (police) from seeing them inside the building. I still don't know why the police don't just sit in front of these places and write ticket after ticket. If you hire someone to only do this you would still make money.
