I would rather keep Perry Hall with upscale stores, and drive a little futher for discounts. If you want to see what happens to a neighborhood that turns to the discount centers and box stores, take a look at what happened to the Golden Ring area.

Please no discount stores. It will make the area look cheap. Dollar General - Are you kidding me?

I worked for Safeway Food Stores for more than 30 years. They always structured their pricing according to the stature of the community. The store in Carney always had lower prices than the one here in Perry Hall. Non sale items are always 10 cents, 20 cents and higher.
What I don't understand is why do we need 6 major drug stores?
We have at least 8 shopping centers with a large portion of the stores empty, and now I see were another one is being planned for the corner of Honeygo Blvd and Belair Rd. Are the developers and builders doing that well with tax write offs?
INSANITY????????
