Its coming so be prepared!!!

The long awaited Perry Hall Gino's Burgers and Chicken at 5001 Honeygo Center Drive in Honeygo Village Center is preparing to open early next week.

This will only be a "soft opening," according to general manager Debbie Wait. The grand opening with founder and namesake Baltimore Colts legend Gino Marchetti will occur later, she said.

The Gino's corporate website states the Perry Hall location will open to the public on March 5.

In the meantime, Patch has acquired a copy of the menu, which, unlike its online counterpart, includes prices. See the photo gallery for the front and back of the full menu.

How does the price for Gino's signature sandwich, The Gino's Giant, compare to other local burger chains?

Restaurant Sandwich Sandwich Price/Combo Meal
Gino's Burgers and Chicken (Perry Hall)
The Gino's Giant $5.89/$9.68
McDonald's (Perry Hall) Big Mac $3.69/$6.19
Wendy's (Perry Hall) The "W"  $3.92/$6.04
Burger King (White Marsh) Whopper $3.39/$5.79
Five Guys Burgers and Fries (White Marsh) Cheeseburger $5.99/$12-13

What do you think about the prices? Are you planning to visit the new Gino's? Tell us in the comments.

*Sigh*

Dear Gino's, Just because your name has an apostrophe in it doesn't mean "Combos" does as well. A little bit of grammar goes a long way...

There are sooo many grammatical mistakes in the world around us. Even in businesses open to the public. It's not difficult. Or is it?
Get a proofreader folks.
It's pathetic how our country consistently fails English. However, given our education system I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised. Just disappointed.

All that said, we'll definitely check it out sometime in the coming weekends.

Great comment! It must be a result of our wonderful schools, both public and private. Let us hate ourselves as Americans because Barry Soetoro tells us we should, but forget about learning to read and write correctly.

This time around, they want to be closer to 5 Guys than McDonalds (like they were before.) The 'Giant' is more than I want to eat. This menu appears to be different than the one at Towson, where you can get a Giant with one patty. I also note a special Perry Hall burger. I haven't tried the chicken at the 'New Ginos', so I can't comment there. Suffice it to say they have moved themselves up-market from the original Gino's.

So much for the ambiance and image comparisons. As for the food - The original Giant was a direct competitor for the Big Mac, just enough different that it was noticeable. I liked them both. The new Giant doesn't compel me to go there - I'd rather go to 5 Guys where I can have it just the way I like it. The chicken at the old Gino's was KFC - but I don't know what the new chicken is like. I've had a salad, it was okay but nothing special.
I think they will mostly trade on their name and the nostalgia. I'm glad they are in Honeygo (I can see them from my house - No Palin jokes, please) so I don't have to go out of my way to go there.

Yeah, Z-Burger is the same way as far as building your burger the way you want to. Lots of options, and killer shakes (because seriously, if you're eating at one of these once every couple weeks or so, you might as well go all out and enjoy it!)

They were smart to put some physical distance between them and White Marsh competitors. I mean, the burgers are bound to be way better then the pre-existing Wendy's food. It wouldn't take all that much.

Don't bother with the chicken, I bought the chicken sandwhich, got home , bit into and chewed and spit it out !!!! It tasted just like fish which I don't like !! It looked just like fish, the way it pulled apart . I figured I got someones sandwhich , so I called and was shocked to find ... they don't serve fish. Don't Get The Chicken !!!

Real Beef !
You would only know if you were a teenager from Perry Hall in the late 60's - early 70's what you are missing....Good food along with good times :) Cost just as much as anywhere else you would eat now days. I think that's the hype of it. You don't have to eat there!

All of the restaurants' beef burgers are made with "real" beef, Pal. If they are not, they can not be called beef hamburgers/burgers/sandwiches as specifically and strictly regulated by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Quetion to you, DK: What did you mistakenly believe compose the beef hamburgers from McDonald's (et al.)?

While fliipping steaks at Rustler, we used "real beef" too. But anything resembling the beef you get at a Morton's or Ruth Chris, was purely coincidental. :)

perhaps DK intended to say "Quality" Beef, instead of "Real" Beef.

I love it. It's a flash from my childhood. Erdman Ave and Gino's. Yum. You can also customize your burgers. I have every time I have walked into the Towson location.

Wendy's is on the ropes with Gino's, Five Guys, Z-Burger. Wendy's used to be good, but when the moisture left their burgers? So did the appeal. Poor Dave - must be rolling in his grave over the decline of Wendy's.

The food at Gino's is good as is the portion. I'll take that over all of the rest.

New Gino's vs. old Gino's:
Old Gino's: no salads, generic shakes from a machine, cheap burgers, the Giant was two small patties separated by a third piece of bun, KFC chicken on the bone, basic fast food fries, no onion rings, fast service, cheap prices.
New Gino's: "Specialty Salads", hand spun milk shakes, very expensive for the product, the new "Gino's Giant" has two large patties, no third piece of bun, chicken strips only, hand cut fresh made fries, oinion rings, extremely slow service, and again, very expensive.
Other than the name, it's not Gino's!!!!

Yep, sounds like the new version is much better then the old.

It's not expensive though. Maybe back in your day burgers were 50 cents, but their prices today are right in line with the competition.
If you want to eat crap food, McDonald's and Burger King (etc) are here for you to poison yourself that way.

One Gino's Giant, one Gino's Giant Junior, a basket of mixed fries and onion rings and two milkshakes cost almost $27. That's expensive, no matter how many of the competition charge that much.
By the way, a burger on a bun with a mayonnaise based sauce, deep fried fries and/or onion rings and milkskakes are poison whether you get it at McDonalds or the finest restaurant in town.

How much food are you eating? LOL

I'd be getting a chipolte cheeseburger, and a bottle of water. maybe a small shake (per my reference above). Possibly splitting an onion rings (in which case, you can be sure I'd be drinking water). The burger's 5-6 bucks. That's inline with its actual (not perceived) competition. I'd suggest you price out a similar meal at Z Burger. It won't be far off.

As far as it all being poison, pretty much every processed food cooked is - to varying degrees.

I'll eat at Gino's, Z-Burger, or Five guys (or Red Robin, the A-1 Peppercorn burger is a secret vice) because the food quality to start with is simply better.

If they serve the same food the same way as the Towson store they will do just fine. The onion rings are great as is the caesar chicken salad.

Hmm. two of my favorite things. That's a good sign. Good onion rings are a lost art these days.

I can see Gino now, rolling over in his grave asking, "What the heck is a Ceasar wrap?" I used to eat at the Towson Gino's and worked at the Rustler down the street, owned by Gino and Allan Ameche. $2.50 would fill up a growing teenage boy, now it just buys you a coke.

I'm from back in the day when a Gino's burger was .15 cents, and the large chocolate shake was .25 cents. When it opens, I will try the Gino's jr. and the shake.
And wait a couple weeks to see Gino when he visits.

It's not worth the price. I've been to the Towson one twice, and that's enough to convince me my money is better spent elsewhere.

Ate at the one in King of Prussia this year with the Mrs. Lunch was over $22.00 for both of us. Way too high for a burger joint.

Grew up with burger king and worked there as well, my favorite place to go. I will give Gino's a try and looking forward to it. I hear the shakes are really good. You can't go anywhere anymore with $5.00 for lunch, safe up and enjoy your meal!!

Must disagree. McDonalds, Burger King and Wendys all have several choices of a sandwich, fry and drink for less than $5.

After looking at some of these prices, I think I will stick to McDonald's and Burger King. These prices you would expect to see at M&T Stadium, not your everyday eatery.
