It just wouldn't be spring without frilly dresses and kids gathered around the maypoles—at least not in Perry Hall more than 50 years ago.

Baltimore County Public Library Legacy Web includes photos of May Day celebrations—traditionally held May 1—outside Perry Hall Elementary School in 1957 and 1958. Photographer Marjorie Miller captured images of dozens of children participating in the events.
