A post on the Facebook page of user "Bobby Gladden" included the words "First day of school, last day of my life."
Police say Gladden used a double-barrel shotgun to randomly shoot one round into a crowd of students in Perry Hall High School's cafeteria.
Daniel Borowy, a 17-year-old special needs student, was struck by a bullet in the lower back.
Police and school officials say that Jesse Wasmer, a Perry Hall High School guidance counselor, rushed Gladden after noticing the gun. As other school staff members assisted in detaining Gladden, another shot was fired in the cafeteria, but did not strike anyone.

It was the first day of school during the earliest lunch period at Perry Hall High School, but it soon turned into an unforgettable day of violence.

The events of Aug. 27, when police say a student used a double-barrel shotgun to randomly shoot another student in the cafeteria, sent shock waves through the Perry Hall community and made headlines and newscasts across the nation.
