Morning rain showers postponed last week's Perry Hall Improvement Association Adopt-a-Road cleanup. But luckily for the community, Saturday morning's rescheduled project was met with sunshine.

"After last week's rainout, we had a wonderful day to pick up over 10 bags of trash and increase the beauty of Honeygo Boulevard," said Diane Brazil, chairperson of the PHIA's Environmental Affairs Committee.

Thirteen volunteers, including two Perry Hall High School students, Kelly Mullinix and Dean Brooks, participated in the cleanup, Brazil said.

The cleanup was part of an effort to further beautify an area where Baltimore County recently constructed new sidewalks, Brazil said.

"With the new sidewalks and with all the trash picked up, we are very proud to call Honeygo Boulevard one of our gateways into our community," she added.

Thanks to Diane Brazil for organizing the clean-up, and thanks to the volunteers who help keep one of Perry Hall's main corridors attractive!
