The Avenue at White Marsh makes a habit of supporting the hometown sports teams. Remember the mobs of purple in honor of the Baltimore Ravens?

In line with tradition, and in honor of Opening Day on Friday, the shopping center has recently added painted Orioles logos to the street outside shops.

The artist is Jim Buckler, the same person who painted Ravens logos during football season, according to Avenue marketing manager Lisa Geiger.

"The weather looks great for food, drinks and catching the game on the Red Brick Station and Tilted Kilt patios," Gieger wrote in an email to Patch, adding that Red Brick Station is expected to offer $2 beers and half-priced wings during the game.

What do you think of the paintings? How are you celebrating Opening Day? Tell us in the comments.
