Between the storm, inspiring speeches, musical performances and the culmination of more than 12 years of study, Friday night's graduation was likely a memorable one for Perry Hall's Class of 2012.
It was likewise of particular importance to Principal George Roberts. Roberts first entered the school as principal in 2008—the same year class members became freshman.
He got lost in those early days, trying to navigate the school's many wings and additions, right along with them, he said.
More than 500 students graduated before an audience of family and friends (find a full list of graduates here). Administrators announced that seniors had qualified for nearly $7.7 million in grants and scholarships, and received acceptance letters from more than 120 prestigious colleges and universities.
