Police: 2 Perry Hall Homes Burglarized

Police are investigating home burglaries on Holiday Manor Road and Hines Road.

Two Perry Hall home burglaries were reported over the weekend and police say the investigations are ongoing.

Between Feb. 6 and Feb. 9, in the 9500 block of Holiday Manor Road, 10 feet of copper piping was stolen from the basement water heater of a vacant home. There were no signs of forced entry into the home, according to Officer Mark Dorsey of the Parkville police precinct.

Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Feb. 9, in the 9000 block of Hines Road, a person entered a home's unlocked rear door and stole a computer, an Xbox and other small items, Dorsey said.

Dorsey urged area residents to report any suspicious people or vehicles in their neighborhoods by calling 911 immediately.

It never fails to amaze me the number of people who leave their homes unlocked, cars unlocked, leave their cars running unattended at 7-11....etc.,etc.!!

Two years ago my neighbor left her purse inside of her unlocked van. Guess what, the purse was stolen!! I have no idea why the entire van was not stolen. She was LUCKY I guess. :-(
