While I don't have any information about this particular incident, children, even those "old enough to know better" sometimes forget themselves, drop a toy and rush for it without thinking. Sometimes it's just an accident. I too hope she will be OK, I can't imagine the panic the family is going through.

Philadelphia Rd. is very dangerous for pedestrians from Race Rd. to Golden Ring Rd. I don't know what they can do, but it is a mess.

It is very hard to cross any where in that area. The bus stops both ways and people run for the bus and don't pay attention. I am always dodging people. That was a busy time of day. Our roads are so heavily traveled. People are thinking about "whats for supper, I can't be late for the babysitter, I need to pick up the kids from school, " . We all need to slow down, not just our driving but in our entire lives. Some of the stress in our lives we bring on ourselves. I know that some people run to the store for one thing, going out multiple times in a day. When you need to plan your trips, save stress and gas.

The biggest problem is that the sidewalks are at the roads edge on 7 and rossvile. They could make an exit on 695 that could come out by Franklin square. Hospital. This would help take alot of trafic off of 7 . They could also have the bus routes go into to where Walmart and home depot are. I drive through that area every day. I drove through shortly after it happened.people know as soon as u come off 695 and the light changes. They speed up to make the next light because it turns red as soon as you get to it.than people speed up to get through the one at rossvile it is bad through that area because people are always in a rush. To the point of putting other peoples life at risk. You know who you are. My heart goes out to this little girl and her family I hope she's alright. Slow down a life is worth a couple of minutes.
