Police: Pedestrian Struck Outside White Marsh Movies
A 50-year-old woman was injured outside the AMC Loews White Marsh 16 on Friday night.
A pedestrian was injured Friday night after she was struck by a vehicle outside the AMC Loews White Marsh 16.
At about 9:30 p.m. on April 13, near the theater's back entrance along the 8100 block of Honeygo Boulevard in The Avenue at White Marsh, a 50-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle, according to Cpl. John Wachter, a Baltimore County Police spokesman.
She received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center by ambulance, Wachter said.
The driver remained on the scene, he said. No further information was available on the type of vehicle or the circumstances surrounding the accident as of Saturday morning.
What do you think about traffic conditions outside the theater? Tell us in the comments.

I was actually at the movies watching Hunger Games between 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. last night. I couldn't hear anything from inside, but It was weird seeing the alert this morning and realizing I was right there.

Surprise, surprise. More terrible Maryland drivers violating laws.
at least this person stuck around. Then again aren't there 2-3 cops/rent-a-cops out in front of this place at all times? I suspect the person had no choice in the matter.

Here we go again. You don't know any of the facts, but right away assume that it was the driver's fault, and that if nobody saw the driver, it would be a hit and run.
If a pedestrian steps in front of a car and not in a crosswalk (which happens all the time in all shopping centers), it would in most cases be pedestrian error.
Pedestrian received non-life threatening injuries. The driver was probably not going too fast.
I don't know of any statistics, but since hit and run accidents make such a big splash on the news, my guess would be that most drivers stop when in an accident.
Finally, read the article: accident happened at the back entrance. Not usually a lot of cops back there.

It IS the drivers' fault. If it's outside the movie theater, the entire place is a freaking crosswalk.
Suck less at driving, and you'll be amazed at how few accidents with pedestrians happen, Maryland. It really doesn't matter what the person did. Stop driving aggressively, distracted, etc.

Actually, I should qualify this by saying I'm operating under the assumption it's literally right outside the theater doors (front, or back).
My defensive driving/distracted driver comment stands regardless, though.

I'm sure you've heard what "assume" means. Like I said, you don't have all the facts.
Perhaps the pedestrian was texting while walking and stepped off the curb in front of the car outside of the crosswalk.

Yes, I know about assuming.
I also know how terrible this state is at driving. It's even worse then Virginia, and that's saying something as kids in Virginia get their licenses out of cereal boxes.

I was there too! I was watching "white men cant jump"
I would give the driver the benefit of the doubt

I have walked out the back exit many times.
If memory serves me correctly there are not cross walks at that location.
I hope the person recovers quickly.
