White Marsh Sears Sleepover Shopper Caught With Chocolate, Accessories
Police arrested a 69-year-old man found sitting inside the Lands End area of the department store in the early morning on Dec. 17.
Baltimore County police say a man spent the night in the White Marsh Sears department store, and helped himself to some chocolate and fashion accessories.
According to a police report, at about 4:46 a.m. on Dec. 17, inside the store in the 8200 block of Perry Hall Boulevard, security guards found a man sitting on a chair in the Lands End department. Investigators believe he had been hiding in the store since before closing time on Dec. 16.
Hidden on him were six sunglasses valued at nearly $700, three pieces of costume jewelry valued at $36 and two chocolate bars valued at nearly $6, the police report showed.
Police arrested the man and identified him as Percy Lane Jr., 69, of the 1800 block of Wolfe Street in Baltimore. He was charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree burglary, trespassing on private property and theft of less than $1,000, online court records show. As of Wednesday, Lane remained at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Did anyone test him mentally? Maybe he did not know where he was or that he needed to leave the store when it closed. Just saying.

The fact that he chose "Sears" as the store to do this crime, is enough to prove mental illnesss for me. I bet his mom used to buy his cloths there.
