POLL: What Do You Call People From Perry Hall?

Help out an editor at a loss over what to call her neighbors.

Let's face it, after more than a year of referring to all of you on this website, I'm tired of calling you Perry Hall community members or residents.

It's about time we decide on a name. I've provided four options in the poll below, but you're welcome to suggest other more feasible, more clever or even comical ones in the comments.

I've been toying with the idea of calling residents townspeople or local folk.

Agree with Rick...and I've always considered us Perry Hallers.

Have we ever been called Perry Hallers on any official document, to your knowledge?

Since much of what we know as Perry Hall is really Nottingham (according to the PO), why don't we call them Nottinghamians?

How about Halls, those who live in 21128, and Hams, those who live in 21236.

Nottingham just exists for the sake of the post office.

Look at a map. The Perry Hall post office isn't even in Perry Hall.
Why do we need a name? I've never heard of a Towsonite, Dundalkian, Overlean, etc.

Tim, strangely enough, that is not true. The official zip code of the Perry Hall post office along Belair Road is 21128, even though the area surrounding it on all sides is 21236. They did it that way so the P.O. Boxes would have 21128 addresses. For a 21236 P.O. Box, you have to go to the Nottingham post office near White Marsh Mall.

Who decided I live in Nottngham? Other than a small sign by the side of the road on Philadelphia Road, does anyone know anything about it?

The worst part is that when people come to visit me for the first time. They sometimes tell me they don't need directions because they have a GPS. I have to tell them to put in "Nottingham" as the city or my address does not show up.

Except for a circle on the map around the general area where the Perry Hall post office is, zip code 21128 for Perry Hall ends at the top of Silver Spring Road. Technically, I guess that means it is in 21128, but it really is not.

Tim,

Strange, my home address show sup just fine for Perry Hall, although from a post office standpoint, I'm "a ham".
