School Bus Accident at Silver Spring and Perry Hall Boulevard

No one was injured when the bus carrying middle school students collided with a Chevy Tahoe SUV.

Shortly after 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Perry Hall Boulevard and Silver Spring Road in Perry Hall, a school bus collided with a Chevy Tahoe SUV. No one was injured, said police.

Slippery streets, caused by today's snow storm appear to have caused the accident which damaged both vehicles, though officials said the exact cause is unknown.

Bus number 144 was transporting children from Perry Hall Middle School. Police do not yet know how many children were riding the bus at the time of the accident.

Earlier in the afternoon, Principal Allen Zink of Perry Hall Middle School told Patch that students were very excited to go home early, and while the closing was generally successful, many of the buses were late.

The principal personally directed traffic in the school's parking lot after dismissal. "The most important thing is that everyone is safe," he said.
