The area in Towson near Calvert Hall College/Loch Raven Technical Academy looks like it got hit pretty well, too. Glad it wasn't worse!

I've been hearing about the storm and bad damage in Kingsville. Any news to relay about that? I haven't read anything about it.

There goes you $100 rebate. At times my power would be off as long at the change in seasons.

The governor attacked BG&E over this issue of their response in power outages and now he raves over $100 bucks their giving back.

Just wait and see how much the new "Smart Meters" are going to cost you. Some simple online searching reveals some surprising information regarding these things.
For instance, as many as 80% of households in other states have seen their bills increase after Smart Meter installation. Also, BGE can only measure your monthly usage now. With Smart Meters, they can measure individual usage each hour and can charge higher rates during hours of peak usage. Also, BGE is only getting $200 million from the Fed for an estimated $500 million installation cost. Where will that other $300 million come from? Finally, BGE is loudly trying to calm fears of Radio Frequency dangers. This is just a smokescreen to divert attention from the real danger; there have been numerous electrical fires and electrical damage in other states directly attributed to the Smart Meter or its installation. This is the real danger.
It will be interesting to see what our wonderful Public Service Commission does for us in obtaining the right to "opt out" without an extortion penalty from BGE.

Re: Storm Damage - I was in the Walmart in Towson on Sunday, and it looked like they may have some - a substantial portion of the upper level had been cordoned off, and all of the ceiling tiles in that area had been removed. I'm guessing roof damage.
