UPDATE (July 19, 8:10 p.m.)—Some community members were left salad-less Thursday evening due to a scheduling mistake, according to a manager at Noodles & Company in White Marsh.

An event posted on Patch announced the following:

In celebration of Noodles & Company's Summer Salads, they have street teams handing out free samples at key locations around Baltimore.

According to the company website, one of those events was set to take place at Honeygo Run Regional Park in Perry Hall at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

But some community members complained on the Patch Facebook page that there was no free salad to be found.

The White Marsh store manager later told Patch that the time on the company website was a typo and workers showed up at the park at 4 p.m. instead.

The manager apologized for any inconvenience caused by the mistake.

Emily, I don't believe it! I spoke to the Honeygo staff and they didn't know anything about it, not to mention that they did not get a permit to use the park. I showed up at 5 and there was no one there from Noodles! Would they really have left that quickly? I think not!

These no-shows happened in many places across the nation, such as Colorado, Chicago, here in Baltimore, and St. Louis, according to some of the blogs I have read. No explanation from Noodles and Company. Someone screwed up something. The company could at least come up with a reasonable explanation.
