UPDATE: Perry Hall Pizza Hut Robbery Investigation Ongoing

Two men stole cash from the Pizza Hut late Saturday night, police said.

UPDATE (May 1, 11:56 a.m.)—New details have emerged in the armed robbery of the Perry Hall Pizza Hut late Saturday night.

At about 11:30 p.m. on April 28, two men—one armed with a handgun—entered the restaurant in the 8600 block of Belair Road. They ordered the manager to open the register and safe and ordered other employees to get on the ground. The men then stole cash in a plastic carryout bag and fled, according to a police report.

Police described the suspect holding the handgun as a black male, tall, with a muscular build and wearing a blue jacket, brown hooded sweatshirt and a black scarf. The second suspect was a male of an unknown race, wearing a tan jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a brown scarf over his face, a police report showed.

At least two additional armed robberies occurred in the same shopping center in March. On March 30, a person was robbed while using the M&T Bank ATM, and on March 31, the Subway restaurant was also robbed.

Why do you think robberies are happening at this shopping center? Tell us in the comments.

What the heck is going on with the robberies in that shopping center. You would think that the police would be keeping a eye on that place.

Because the cops would rather sit on Honeygo Blvd and issue speeding tickets. When we asked to beef up security - we meant actually patrol the area - not issue parking tickets to the good guys!

Hopefully the police will shake down the perp, Justin Nicholas Radtke, 27, of the 4400 block of Darleigh Road, who was arrested April 28 for knocking off the Subway two doors down from Pizza Hut. More than likely, the crimes are related.

There was an officer in the parking last night at 9:30 sitting in his car. The district was still ticketing on silver spring of.course. they may catch the robbers here I suspect...they seem to be ticketing a lot lately between silver spring, Joppa, and harford just south of beltway.

They are happening because citizens cannot arm themselves.
