UPDATE (Dec. 28. 11:24 a.m.)—A fire caused $270,000 in damage to a vacant home near Harford Road and Sunshine Avenue, north of Kingsville, early Monday morning, according to Detective Cathy Batton, a Baltimore County police spokeswoman.

Firefighters responded to several calls about the fire in the 12000 block of Regwood Road in Fork, shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 26, according to a Baltimore County Fire Department report.

The fire left the home "completely destroyed," Batton told Patch Wednesday morning.

The cause of the fire and determining the owner remains under investigation, she said.

One firefighter was transported from the scene by ambulance with abdominal pains, according to the report.

Batton said the firefighter's medical problem was unrelated to the fire.
