Mary Ann Banes, a 35-year resident of Kilkenny Circle in Perry Hall, said she always expected it to happen to her home.
Instead, it was her neighbor, directly across the street, whose home was struck by a large tree during Friday night's storm.
"My husband watched it happen. It just bent right over onto the house," Banes said. "I'm just glad everyone's OK."
Banes added that her neighbors are known to keep one of the cleanest yards on the road, and they have already received some assistance from the Red Cross.
