When was the last time that you played kickball? You remember the game don’t you? It’s played like baseball, but instead of pitching and hitting the ball with a bat, you roll the ball and kick it with your foot. I’d imagine it’s been quite a while since you played, maybe not since the 4th grade and that was true for a few dozen Perry Hall residents as well. That was until this past Saturday!
On Saturday June 16th, Perry Hall debuted its first co-ed social sports league designed for local residents called GOAL. Registered participants ranging in ages from 21 to over 60 met their new teammates and were re-introduced to the game of kickball.
After each team had completed their games all of the GOAL participants were invited to Della Rose’s on the Avenue for food and drink specials that were only available to the kickball teams. This provided an excellent social opportunity for the league members to get to know their teammates and players from the other teams.
This week the GOAL kickball season continues at Perry Hall Middle School, with the first games beginning at 10:15am, with our post game “social” being hosted at Outback Steakhouse. If you’re interested in joining a pre-existing team or want to form your own co-ed team, please call (410)-963-4188 or email gameonevents@gmail.com.
