Boscov’s reopened their doors on Friday morning at 10am to a very excited group of shoppers! Everyone I spoke with was overjoyed that Boscov’s had not only returned, but also with the beautiful new renovations the store has recently undergone. “Bright”, “modern”, “cheerful” and “airy” were just a few of the kind words people used to describe the new space. But you’ll have to see it for yourself this weekend to see what the buzz is all about.
Perhaps another reason all of the shoppers had such big smiles was they knew they were there for a good cause, or should I say causes. Each person who visited the store on Friday made a $5 donation to one of nearly 100 local charities. Boscov’s officials need to tally up all the donations to be exactly sure how much they received, but they estimate AT LEAST $25,000 was donated!
But remember, today was just a preview opening. Sunday is the big day!
On Sunday, Boscov’s celebrates it’s official opening at White Marsh Mall. The festivities will be happening rain or shine and include some incredibly diverse entertainment. The Perry Hall High School Marching Band will be getting everyone in the spirit first thing in the morning, Oscar-winning actress and singer Shirley Jones will be holding two performances at 2pm and 7pm, Top Chef Texas Finalist, Lindsay Autry will host a cooking demo and you can meet Miss Teen Maryland Stephanie Chervenkov. Mr. Albert Boscov will be there to cut the ribbon at 9am and hand a $1000 check to The United Way of Central Maryland.
It will be an amazing day and weekend at White Marsh Mall and Boscov’s. Not to mention the incredible opening weekend sales and selection. Start your holiday shopping NOW!

Shopped there this morning. The event was well staffed. Paying $5 that went to charity was a wonderful way to open the store. Even though the lines were very long, the staff was organized and friendly. The people in line were helpful and talkative and the time passed very nicely. The gifts were nice and worth the wait. It was my first visit to a Boscov's and I was pleasantly surprised. I can't wait to go back when it's less crowded and things have settled a bit.

I was there Friday evening. It was a nice crowd and no lines. I had already purchased my ticket to benefit the PHHS Band Boosters. The PHHS Marching Band will be at Boscov's Sunday morning at 9 AM. Come back and listen to the band as you shop.
