Buy Fresh, Buy Local at THE AVENUE at White Marsh

I recently spent two weeks on vacation with my extended family...visiting local produce stands...preparing many meals...and enjoying every minute of it.   In addition, I learned that watermelon tastes great with feta cheese and balsamic vinegar (check out this recipe!) and fresh raw corn off the cob is an amazing addition to a salad or salsa.  I returned home, and back to work, anxious for THE AVENUE'S Farmers' Market to open and eager to try a few more recipes

Beginning this Friday, July 6th, local farmers will be set up behind AC Moore and Staples with a variety of fruits, vegetables, honey products, baked goods and more for shoppers.  In celebration of the Market's opening, vendors will have a supply of complimentary reusable shopping bags for distribition.   The Market will continue every Friday, 10am - 1pm through the month of October.  For a list of vendors, visit our website.  Hope to see you there!

Enid - We totally understand. Unfortunately, most local farmers are participating in larger, very well-established markets on Saturdays. When THE AVENUE's market originated, the day and time was determined based on availablility of vendors and the hope that we could provide something for the business community that surrounds the property, as well.

The Fells Point Saturday Morning Market has been growing big time. I am finding more and more people finally waiting to buy their produce at weekly outdoor markets. Awesome! Buy local and buy from those small farms.
