Since 2008, World Oceans Day has been celebrated internationally to celebrate the world’s oceans. This years theme is Youth: the Next Wave for Change, in an effort to engage the next generation in preserving our planet’s most precious resource. Events are coordinated by The Ocean Project and The World Ocean Network.
Click through and find an event to share with your kids! No event near by? No problem! Create one at home by simply asking your kids to help you list ways your family can help save our world’s oceans and try your best to “live by the list”. Another simple way to be involved is to take the 7 C’s Pledge together! And don’t forget: wear blue today in celebration of our fabulous oceans!
