On Friday, January 4^th, the Fifth Regiment Armory was packed for the Indoor Baltimore County Relays. Twenty-two High Schools competed to place in the top six scoring positions in nine events. Congratulations to our Boys Team for placing Second and our Girls Team placed Fourth.

A great big thank you goes out to our Coach’s who had to do a lot of quick maneuvering to get Perry Hall’s Team to the Armory. While the majority of the team waited at the school for the bus (we will just say they were extremely late) the Coach’s were able to get the girls and boys 3200 meter relay teams to the event with just enough time to warm-up.

This little snafu may not seem like a big do, but to an athlete they all have their little rituals they go through before competition starts. While we were able to get our usual corner, we did have to adjust to being to the left instead of the right. Gone was the 45 minute pre-warm-ups, that was all crammed into about 5-10 minutes depending on when their race started. Yet despite all this confusion and
disruption of routine our athletes persevered. These are truly a great bunch of
athletes.

Girls' Team placement in the relay events; 3200m 5th, 800m 5th, 1600m 11th, Sprint Medley 4th, Distance Medley 4th, Shuttle Hurdles 3rd, High Jump 1st,4th,7th, Pole Vault 5th, and Shot Put 7th,28th,38th.

Boy's Team placement in the relay events; 3200m 1st, 800m 6th, 1600m 11th, Sprint Medley 1st, Distance Medley 2nd, Shuttle Hurdles 3rd, High Jump 4th,17th, Pole Vault 3rd,6th,10th and Shot Put 13th,24th,25th.
