The American Legion Overlea-Perry Hall Post 130 plans to hold its annual Memorial Day ceremony on Wednesday.
Veterans and community members are expected to gather at the Post Main Hall at 8666 Silver Lake Dr. in Perry Hall at 6 p.m. on May 30.
The program honoring fallen soldiers will include a speech by State Sen. Kathy Klausmeier.

The American Legion, created by Congress in 1919, devotes itself to promoting patriotism and serving war veterans and their families. The Overlea-Perry Hall Post, first organized in 1936, provides a number of community services and activities, including flag disposal, dinners and memorial services. It also offers a bar, entertainment, meal specials, Keno, and lottery tickets to card-carrying members.
