Finally something enriching for our children.
Isn't there something else we could have our children do, in addition to the old stand-bys of going to the mall or playing video games?
Are not our children yearning for something new and different, yet fun and enriching?
Only if we as parents and adults make new such opportunities available.
The fact is Perry Hall and Baltimore County has become diverse in many ways, not only in respect to the origins and languages of people, but also in respect to the types of activities which parents seek for their children. Furthermore, an increasing number of businesses are requiring foreign language skills. Both businesses and schools have built international connections. The concrete need for understanding foreign languages and cultures is here.
Face it. With such highly-popular programs as Dancing With the Stars, with children's television offering characters with bilingual skills, and with many U.S. high schools offering foreign language clubs, foreign languages and dances have become quite exciting and popular across the U.S.
The Question Remains. What about dances and languages in Perry Hall?
Would parents in the area take their children to learn and enjoy international dances? Would they enroll their children in language classes?
Perhaps they would if the opportunity were made available.
I am proposing an International Dance and Language Center for Perry Hall. This would offer cultural dance classes, including Latin, African, and Bellydance as well as language classes in Spanish, French, and Chinese, possibly Hindi. This would be a great addition in the Perry Hall/White Marsh community. A fun learning program, definitely not the only standbys, but a refreshing change where children develop life, cultural, and motor skills. Children who demand high mental and physical stimulation would benefit from this type of program.
Second languages are in demand today as are international dances, but are they in such demand in Perry Hall to warrant an international dance and language center? We want your input.
