UPDATE (2:30 p.m.)—Water service has been restored to about 40 homes, following a water main break on Clifford Road in Perry Hall. As of 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, crews continue to work toward patching the road surrounding the break, according to Kurt Kocher, a spokesman for the Baltimore City Department of Public Works.

A water main break in Perry Hall has left about 40 homes without water Wednesday afternoon.
The break in the 8-inch water main happened on Clifford Road overnight, according to Kurt Kocher, a spokesman for the Baltimore City Department of Public Works.
Kocher said that crews were on the scene of the break Wednesday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. and that they had turned the water off to surrounding homes in order to repair the break.
The issue should be resolved sometime Wednesday evening, Kocher said.
