Cockeysville resident Maureen McBeth has won the 2012 Mercy Spirit Award for Leadership, according to a recent release.

"The Mercy Spirit Awards honor one staff member and one person in a leadership role who consistently demonstrates and personifies the values of The Sisters of Mercy and Catherine McAuley, Sisters’ founder, " the release states.

McBeth works as a physical therapist—a Certified Lymphedema Therapist—at Mercy Medical Center in downtown Baltimore. She is also a program manager specializing in cancer care.

All nominees will be honored at a prayer service on Thursday, Nov. 15 with recipients receiving a plaque and monetary award, according to the release.
