11-Day Carnival Coming to White Marsh Mall

The carnival in the mall's parking lot is scheduled between April 12-22.

You can almost taste the funnel cake—the annual is just days away.

Mall management confirmed Monday that the parking lot at 8200 Perry Hall Blvd. will host the event April 12-22. Set-up for rides began over weekend.

"There's plenty of rides, games and food for everybody," said Ralph Weiss, a spokesman for Dreamland Amusements, the company running the carnival.

The carnival—open 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and noon to 11 p.m. on weekends—will feature at least 20 rides, games and refreshment booths, according to Weiss.

Admission is $2 for adults and free for children under 10. Wristbands for unlimited rides can be purchased for $25 each (a $5 off coupon is available on Dreamland Amusements' website). Tickets for rides (each ride costs between two and four tickets) will also be sold for $1 each or 50 for $40, he said.

Check out on Patch.

Just beware of how much you end up spending. This carnival is currently at East Point and I have been hearing nothing but horror stories from families that have gone, spending almost $100 for two kids.

I clicked on the link to print the $5 coupon; however, this particular carnival is not listed so it would not be valid...

Christy, I was told over the phone that they're accepting those coupons, so in spite of what it says, I believe they'll accept them.

It's VERY overpriced, and I know the labor can't be that expensive - I've seen these people in previous years. I'm not planning on taking my kid there. Honestly he's going to be 'due' for a trip to Dutch Wonderland in the next few weeks!

I'm excited

I don't go to any carnivals that do not have a beer garden.

I'm undecided on this one. We've done it in the past and spent far too much money. They charge for the parents to ride with toddlers. Maybe buying the bracelets for the kids is the way to go, but that means talking my 5yo into being big brother all night long. Wish they'd reduce the price on the ride tickets then it would be a no brainer...

The coupon is available now. I just printed one. = )

O boy, another place for the kids to congregate and cause trouble. I can only imagine how many problems there will be at this carnival.

Is the wristband good the whole time that the carnival is open?

This is the worst carnival I have ever been to. We've been to several carnivals and this is the only one we had to pay to get in, which meant a 15 minute wait to get in. Then most rides require an adult to ride with children, even my oldest who is about 49". The ride operators are rude...the one told me I was not allowed to help my 3 year old on the ride. Ridiculous! I had to push through the. The overall experience was very disappointing! Don't waste your money...go to the one that is at Martin State airport!

There were also many parents complaining about the very same things.

My family went to this over priced carnival today. I wish i had seen these reviews prior. The carnival workers are rude to the parents and children. $6.00 to get in is outragous. I have a 2yr old & 10yr old and what a waste of mney. They require parents to purchase tickets at 1.00 each or a 25.oo wrist band just to ride the dragons or air planes. I hope enough people complain and they are replaced. Also they charge $2.50 for a can of coke!

I also went today with my 8 year old. I could not believe the prices. I will never go to this again. The rides were not worth the gas to get there, let alone the admission, let alone the wrist band. She was too old for the kiddie rides, but too short for most of the others. Wish I had not wasted my money. I urge others to go somewhere else. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

This isn't a really good place to go if you have small kids (and a lot of them). I am a teenager and went yesterday, it was so much fun. There are more big kid rides then small kid rides. It's a good place to go if you go with your friends, just get the 20/25 dollar wrist band for unlimited rides. Just make sure you eat before you go and you will only have to spend 25 dollars to go on as many rides as you want. Fun and cheeper for older kids, I don't reccamend it for arents with multiple small children, becomes pricey.

Does anyone know how long the carnival at eastpoint/ colgate is open for april 2013,what days and times??
Zoe Smedley April 21, 2013 at 12:57 PM
I think the bracelets are the best way to go, the tickets are too much .
Mike Pierce April 21, 2013 at 01:47 PM
And this is one more company that's been putting up illegal roadside signs and trashing our area.

This is the WORST carrnival EVER! my children n I go to carnivals all the time, this was our first n last time at this one! Small children can not ride anything n to make parents pay to ride with a child is ridiculous when you just spent $150 for 3 children, the ride operators pick n choose who they want to let on rides, lines were 20 minutes plus, everything is OVER PRICED, by then end of the night I ended up loosing the tickets I purchased for my small child n he was on the ride so I offered the operator cash which he was glad to except I walked over to a game to get change where I ed told"I can give u change if u play a $5 game, to ride a ride with ur child is about $8 a ride because your paying for both of you JUST HORRIBLE I WILL NEVER GO BACK, RIDE OPERATORS SMOKING WHILE LETTING CHILDREN ON RIDES I LEFT DISGUSTED

pretty good summary, Cindy. we knew it was in town, and we intentionally didn't tell our son about it. It's all a racket.

I echo Cindy also. Also, this website says children 10 under have free admission but the sign there says 6 under. I had 10 children with me so I paid $250 for wristbands and $22 for myself and the children to get in..Never again. I had teens and small kids and all got bored fairly quickly since there was not enough rides. The people from the ride operators, ticket booths to the folks collecting $2 admission...RUDE! This place is a rip off. Lastly, wristbands do not cover all rides, some you have to pay cash for.
