Christopher Schafer is humbly asking for Perry Hall to help him win the title of Maryland's top men's tailor in the Fashion Awards MD.
The Perry Hall dad leads Christopher Schafer Clothier, creating custom suits and professional wear for men and women. Trained in London, he was named Baltimore's Best Tailor by City Paper in 2009 and Baltimore Magazine in 2010.
He also helped found the Baltimore Fashion Alliance, supporting fashion education and charitable events throughout Baltimore.
Schafer is now one of three nominees in the Fashion Awards MD men's tailor category. The online survey (found here) will remain open until May 31. The winner will be announced on June 9.
So why should Perry Hall send him some votes? He responded:
The reason why Perry Hall should vote for me is because I love this place! I moved from Baltimore City to Perry Hall Farms when I got married in September of 2006. Not long after moving here, we purchased an old home in Forge Heights, then had the opportunity to go to London where I learned how to design custom suits. Now I am back in my home in Perry Hall and I brought back some European style to the 21128. I am going to be a vendor at this year's Perry Hall Town Fair, and would love to do more business in my hometown.
