Vietnamese Restaurant 'Coming Soon' to Perry Hall

Signs advertise the planned Phở 7 Rich at the Joppa Corners shopping center.

As indicated by several newly hung signs along Joppa Road, Perry Hall's only Vietnamese restaurant is "Coming Soon."

A building permit on the window of Phở 7 Rich at 4136A on Joppa Road shows, "Change of occupancy from pizza carry-out into sit-down restaurant." The permit was issued on April 11, 2012.

On the largest sign, under "Phở 7 Rich," blue letters read, "Healthy Vietnamese Food."

The Baltimore County Department of Permits, Approvals and Inspections confirmed that the property owner is listed as "Salvo Industrial Park" and the tenant is listed as "Aladin Café." Contact information for either was not immediately available, according to a department representative.

The location until the franchise with another Perry Hall on Belair Road in September 2011.

Do you know any further details about the tenant or planned restaurant? Tell us in the comments.

I can be pretty particular about my Pho, but I will definitely try it. That would be amazing if it's good because that's so close to my house!

also, do locals have to worry about their dogs becoming part of the menu? I mean, this is Northern Vietnamese cuisine we're talking about, right?

Do they, or do they not, cook dogs in Northern Vietnam as part of their cuisine.

I'm so glad that Perry Hall will have a more diverse choice of cuisine. Comments about eating animals is so inappropriate, regardless of whether or not it's true in Vietnam. The intent of your comment is negative and I would hope is not indicative of how other Perry Hall residents feel.

You just have to ignore certain comments. Many Asians are also vegetarians but it is quite common for the uneducated and ignorant to stereotype an entire population of people.

my husband and i have been waiting for them to open!! we finally went today for lunch, and he actually went back for vietnamese sandwiches to go with our leftover pho. everything was very fresh and authentic. i highly reccommend the fresh spring rolls. also the shrimp pho, and bbq pork sandwich was incredible! not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing they are so close to home. but defintely a great, healthy choice for something exciting to eat in the perry hall neighborhood!!

This restaurant is terrible, My wife and I have both spent time in Vietnam and this place was nothing compared to that. Infact we stopped somewhere else on our way home. The Iced coffee I ordered was 1/2 full and very expensive. No one came to ask if everything was alright, and when we asked for something they didn't understand us. We love Vietnamese food but we will never return to this place!

Don't waste your money on this place. Look like the owner concentrate on the money making, rather than good taste & repeat customer. These people really made Asian food look bad...very very pricy & taste like micro-wave pho package. Please do not bother...bad meant bad! Sorry with my broken English!!!!

Not sure where the bad ccmments are coming from but most likely from asian haters. The food was awesome. The staff are nice. The place looks spic and span. The prices are fair. Like how cheap do you go to eat good food Lopnass?

My sister-in-law actually played with my nephew too Tim. Unlike EVERY OTHER single parent that wasRead More there. However, you can't tie your child to you. They came there to play. Bullies move very quick. When my nephew fell and was visibily scared, not a single parent except for one even noticed. Nobody from the library was in site. You are right that if parents were required to pay attention to their children then there would not be an opportunities for bullies because the parents of those bullies would be watching them also. When the group came from a religious school in Pikesville this is exactly what happened. All the parents stayed with their kids. All other parents, with little exception stayed in a waiting room talking amongst themselves paying little attention to their children. My nephew has been to all kinds of playgrounds and never been attacked by older kids before. Next time, if my nephew is attacked by an older child I will urge my brother to call the police and press charges against the parent. However, irreponsible Storyville need not worry -- won't be back there. Just wish our tax dollars weren't supporting this.

Let me put this in more practical terms. 1. My sister-in-law suggests that the bully seemed about 8Read More years old and probably shouldn't have been left at Storyville to begin with. There is no ID system at Storyville for childs age. 2. The bully caused various kinds of mayhem. Knocking down things, shouting, etc. No one from the library is actually in Storyville so there was no disciplinary action taken such as removing the child. 3. Parents should not view Storyville as a babysitter and not be allowed to congregate in the waiting area, leaving their children to play alone. 4. Items that could be used to cause serious injury should be removed from Storyville. 5. Cameras. If an 8 year old hits a 3 year old at Storyville where parents are suppose to be watching their children, I want proof for a court case. Yes, it's a shame it can't just be a pleasant place to take your kids but it isn't. It is filled with unrully children and uninterested parents. A child SHOULD NEVER leave a library with two bruises across his face EVER.
BobBaft June 19, 2013 at 10:12 am
Sounds like your sister in law needs to grow a brain. If an 8 year old is running around like aRead More maniac, grab your child and GO FIND an employee to wage a complaint and get the kid booted. My daughter is 6 and went a couple weeks ago and was not permitted beyond the gate with the other kids in the group. Just because some ghetto monkey jumped the fence one day, don't give this place a black eye for it.
