Despite not coming home with the Baltimore County Championship, Perry Hall Varsity Boys brought homw an even better honor.

Varsity wrap up. Despite not coming home with the Baltimore County Championship, our boys came home with an even better honor. They were named Outstanding Sportsman. Now for me that goes much further than first place. It reaffirms what I already know and now the rest of the county does too, that we indeed have the best athletes in the county.

Overall the Boys placed fourth. Leading the way Vince Ciattei placed first in both the 1600m and 3200m setting a season best in the 1600m. Chris Vitek turned in a strong fifth place in the 3200m. Jose Cruz placed sixth in the 1600m with a season best time. Boys 4 x 800m Relay (Chris Vitek, Jordan Coates, Bart Allen, Jose Cruz) placed first, Boys 4 x 200m Relay (Richard Nwokeji, Roger Bagley, Patrick Alluisi, Brian Jaffe) placed fourth, Boys 4 x 400m Relay (Jahi Thomas, Jose
Cruz, Bart Allen, Vince Ciattei) placed fourth. While not placing in their events both Ethan Burbridge (800m) and Jacob Biedronski (3200) set season best times.

The Girls placed fifth. Lead by Skylar Moore placing third in the 3200m and setting a season best. Thelma Ejimofor placed fourth in the 55m dash. Endasia Mitchell Placed fifth in the high jump and pole vault setting season bests in both. Michaela Olson placed sixth in the pole vault also setting a season best. The Girls 4 x 800m Relay (Michelle Krach, Anna Ciattei, Jessica Yau) placed fourth, and Girls 4 x 200m Relay (Korie Robinson, Amanda Wang, Abby Dunkerton, Thelma Ejimofor) placed fifth. Others not placing best setting season best times Michelle Krach (800m), Jessica Yau (800m), Rachel Norton (1600m), Katelynn Olson (1600m) and Jennie Askew (3200m).

Through triumph, defeat, adversity and yes even sickness WE are GATORS and WE overcome our obstacles with dignity and grace. I can’t say it enough to all the Perry Hall Track & Field Team, I am EXTREMELY PROUD of each and every one of you.

Next up our freshman and sophomores compete for what equates to a JV Championship Thursday, January 24th. So please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

For our Varsity their season is not yet over, Tuesday, February 5th they travel to Prince Georges Sports Complex to compete for the 4A Central Region Title and a chance to qualify for the 4A State Championships.

Your support would be greatly appreciated; Donations/checks can be made out to PHHS Track & Field and mailed to Perry Hall High School, 4601 Ebenezer Road, Baltimore, MD 21236. All donations go towards offsetting the replacement of uniforms, equipment and bus transportation.

Perry Hall if you see a student wearing their track sweats or shirts please congratulate and encourage them.
